LocalE is free to use during the pilot. There is no commission, no platform fee and no subscription — for buyers or for sellers.
The short version. You pay the seller's price, plus a delivery charge if that seller sets one. LocalE adds nothing to it. Sellers keep 100% of what they charge.
Both are shown as a single total on the order before you pay. LocalE adds no service fee, convenience fee, packaging fee or payment-processing charge on top. Nothing is added after you pay.
Prices are set by the seller and are the final amount payable. Sellers are responsible for their own tax obligations, including GST where it applies to them, and for issuing any invoice or bill a buyer is entitled to. LocalE does not collect tax on a seller's behalf.
LocalE is in private pilot with a small number of sellers and buyers in one neighbourhood. The pilot exists to find out whether the product is useful, and charging for it before we know that would not be honest.
